Loose items from Lieutenant John Dennis Hickley journal.
Lieutenant John Dennis Hickley kept many notes, photos, letters, plants and feathers from his travels and kept them loose in his journal. These include a prayer; photographs titled, 'Clovelly Street' and 'Clovelly from the Hobby Bedford'; a hand drawn map of Almeria in Spain and a draft letter to his father of the operations on the Benin River; and a collection of 30 different types of feathers.
