In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We did direct you to send to Guernsey 2 months provisions for 500 men, and now direct you, pursuant to an order of the Privy Council dated 6 April, to send a quantity of biscuit, Cheshire cheese and salt, sufficient for 500 men for 3 months according to the proportion allowed to seamen in their Majesties' fleet. The provisions are to be sent to the Governor or Deputy Governor of the island and not made use of but in case of necessity.
