Letter written by John Benbow, Admiral, 1653-1702, HMS MONMOUTH, to Sir Robert Southwell, Secretary of State for Ireland, 1635-1702, relating to the position of ships and asking for further orders.

The letter includes mention of the arrival of his majesties ships and of twenty of sail of transport ships gone from Williemstadt. Benbow mentions that he has sent the WOOLWICH, EXPERIMENT and SURLINGS with eight transport and ten merchant ships to Ostend.
