2. Report by Maskelyne to the Commissioners of Longitude on his astronomical observations on HMS PRINCESS LOUISA to Barbados, on which voyage he was deputed by them to try Harrison's 4th timekeeper, 1763. Rough copy, 8 pages. Also page of other notes.
3. Letter from Maskelyne to the Royal Society on defects in his observing apparatus, 1770. 4p.
4. Two bills and a receipt for books purchased. Also account with Nourse, bookseller, for books and advertisements, 1762-69. 7p.
5. List of Maskelyne's publications in the Phil. Transactions, 1761-93. Two copies, 2p each.
The photographs are full size and comprise negatives and two positive copies. The originals are in the possession of Nigel Arnold-Foster, Salthorp House, Basset Down, Swindon, Wilts.
