'The Case of Captain Richard Rouzier', a memorial describing how Sir Edward Whitaker, commanding at Port Mahon, made Rouzier captain of the SOMERSET. While Rouzier was on a cruise, Sir John Norris replaced Whitaker. Norris gave the SOMERSET to someone else, instead offering a fire ship to Rouzier. Affronted, Rouzier declined and came home. A year after applying to the Admiralty for redress, he has heard nothing.
