Bormasund and related papers.
Packet of papers labelled “Bormasund – Papers relative thereto”. The packet includes a narrative of the proceedings of Capt. Hall on the attack of Bormasund in the Hecla, June 1854. This is hand written and runs to 11 sides of foolscap. It mentions the act by which Charles Lucas won the first VC. The collection also includes a copy of a letter to Rear Admiral Plumridge.
