Strenuous lives : three generations in peace and war /John Haynes.

The author traces his ancestry on his mother's side to yeoman farmers in mid-Buckinghamshire in the seventeenth century and on his father's side to fishermen from Grimsby, Scarborough and Greenwich. He then details the lives of the most recent three generations of his family with their personal recollections. The text includes extracts from the family trees of the Brooks, Watson, Haynes and Cooper lines and is illustrated with photographs.
