The golden years of the Anchor Line / Martin Bellamy, Bill Spalding.
A historical and colourful account of the Anchor Line, which from the 1880s through to the 1930s was famous for its liners and steamers running between Glasgow and New York, and its voyages to India. The book includes much of the Anchor Line material from the Glasgow Museum and uses period images, advertising material, charts, photographs and personal narratives of passengers and crew to give a clear insight into the famous shipping line. It covers the service of the vessels during both World Wars and its demise after World War II.
