A history of the Costa line from its foundation in 1924 as an operator of tramp steamers through its development and expansion into passenger services. Histories of the vessels and photographs of exteriors and interiors are provided. Chapters highlight Costa's emigrant services to South America in the aftermath of the Second World War and the acquisition of Costa by US operator Carnival Corporation in 1997. A fleet list is provided as at December 2012.
