"The archive material detailed in this history has been supplied by members of the Society over recent years and is now donated to the Greenwich Heritage Centre for safe keeping and for the benefit of future generations and researchers. The October 2008 meeting of the Society represented the 40th Anniversary of the closure of the Woolwich Works in 1968. This major milestone provided the spur to produce 'The History of the Society 1897-2008' published in October 2009. The Society continued to meet until October 2013, the 45th Anniversary of the closure of the Woolwich Works in 1968. This final meeting has to the production of this Supplement - the final five years of the Society's history."
