The author's personal recollections cover a time when many people travelled by sea across the globe. It includes a short history of the ships concerned: Ormonde, Otranto, Orontes, Orion, Orcades, Oronsay, Orsova and the Oriana. Black and white photographs and illustrations accompany the text.
