Fletcher family papers
The collection is mainly formed of the papers of Surgeon Rear-Admiral Edward Ernest Fletcher which provide insights into his career as a naval dentist from the First World War until his retirement in 1946. The papers cover his honours and appointments as well as notes on the history and development of the Royal Naval Dental Service. In addition to these is a photograph album from his son Surgeon Captain Kenneth Ernest John Fletcher, also a naval dentist, covering time spent on the China Station, 1936-1939.
