Figure group
A Staffordshire figure group representing the death of Nelson. The admiral, eyes closed, is clad in pink breeches, his hat on the deck. He is supported by two naval officers in blue uniform coats with yellow epaulettes and collars, red belts, black hats and boots. The right-hand officer lays his hand on Nelson's forehead. He has side whiskers, the left-hand figure is shown with a moustache. 'Death of Nelson' is inscribed in gilt letters on the base of the group. The back is plain white and unmoulded.
