Correspondence, receipts and bills received by Sidney Smith

The correspondence is mainly begging letters asking Smith for financial assistance, but there is also a letter concerning the publication of Napoleon's correspondence in 1821. The file also includes a list of Sidney Smith’s wardrobe, 1818, and a notice of a meeting of the Vraie Lumiere, 1824. Some of the letters and bills are in French and Italian. Please ask staff for a list drawn up when the items were sold in 2004, which includes a summary of the items written in French and Italian.
