Figure
Earthenware figure of a stout sailor, standing legs apart and arms akimbo, smoking a pipe (made of wood). He is wearing white trousers, a white shirt with narrow blue stripes, a black neckerchief and a belt. His yellow straw hat is on the back of his head. The face hair and beard are coloured naturalistically and the figure stands on a plain white oval base decorated with a gilt line. The back is moulded but uncoloured. The wooden pipe is broken off from the part glued into the mouth.
