Letters from Admiral Lord Charles W.D. Beresford, 1908.
Three letters from Admiral Lord Charles W.D. Beresford, Commander-in-Chief of the Channel Fleet, on the battleship HMS KING EDWARD VII (1903), dated 30 June, 10 July and 2 November 1908 (with two envelopes). They mainly discuss exercises of the Channel Fleet and the fitting of training indicators to turrets. Enclosed is a copy of a typescript letter to Beresford from W. Graham Greene at the Admiralty, dated 20 February 1908, and a printed memorandum entitled ‘Cruising Order for a Large Fleet’, issued by Beresford on 14 June 1908.
