Stead, editor of ‘The Review of Reviews’, discussing Beresford’s repudiation of his ‘Two Keels to One Standard’ scheme required for Britain to maintain naval supremacy and asking for confirmation of Noel’s opinion on this, sent from Bank Buildings, Kingsway, London, dated 22 July 1909. Also a telegram from Beresford on the subject of Stead, and drafts for Noel's replies to Stead and Beresford.
