Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)
In November last their Lordships directed that Mr Cole, Purser of the CAMBRIDGE, be suspended, but by his letter of 21 February he informed them that he had taken care ever since of the victualing of the ship and asks that he may be paid until such time as his successor takes charge. I send you a copy of his letter here enclosed.
