Acknowledges instructions received to take measures necessary to keep the ST GEORGE afloat at Portsmouth for a year or two until she can be dry-docked for a thorough repair. The measures to be taken include taking off her heads and galleries; removing 150 tons of ballast; and, heaving her down and caulking her between wind and water.
