Miscellaneous letters and press cuttings relating to the extended family.

Letter (1921) from V.M. Essex to Mrs Holmes with enclosures of two drawings, one of a clock face, the other a victorian silhouette of Mary Harfield (b. 1789), which she found whilst moving the mantlepiece at Leigh Lodge, Worcester. Letters to Dora, from family members, from 1918 and 1963, a press cutting from 1894 which mentions C.E.L. Cowan, letters to and from Lutie dated 1971 and 1978, letters written from HMS EMPRESS OF INDIA (1898), HMS IMPREGNABLE (1907?), Hospital Carrier III (1914) from Charlie (Porter's brother?), a manuscript copy of an article from The Times 8 July 1918 about Dr J.J. Cowan, and other miscellaneous letters and cuttings. Also letters to Sir James Porter from Lady Porter numbered 119, 4, 16, 106, (which have perhaps come loose from bundles in PTR/11) and one incomplete leter from Sir James Porter to Lady Porter.
