In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Sir Richard Haddock, Sir Cloudesley Shovell, Captain Hill, Mr Pett and Mr Liddell accompanied by Captain Wright, Master Attendant at Deptford, have visited Mr Snelgrove's dock to inspect the lead sheathing on the ANTELOPE, recently returned from the East Indies. They report that the lead sheathing was damaged in many places due to it coming into contact with her anchors and cables, that the vessel was badly fouled and that the nails securing the lead sheathing had suffered severe corrosion, as had various iron fittings.
