A group of letters mounted on canvas, relating to the painting of Napoleon Bonaparte on board HMS BELLEROPHON in Plymouth Sound, by Sir Charles Lock Eastlake, exhibited in 1815. The title at the top of the canvas states: 'Certificates of the true resemblance of Mr. Eastlake's Picture of Bonaparte, From several Officers in his service, and others.' One of the letters provides the opinion of Lieut Manier of HMS UNDAUNTED.
