In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Certificate from the Governors of the Chatham Chest confirming that Evan Thomas seaman was wounded when serving aboard the CAMBRIDGE during an engagement with the French in 1692 and qualifying him for assistance. The signatures of the ship's Captain, Lieutenant, Master, Surgeon and principal Petty Officers appear on the Certificate together with a written note of his wounds. Signed John Conny and Thomas Pearse.
