In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Copy of a letter from Captain Hollyman [Holliman?] of the JOSIAH, at Spithead, stating that the officers from the Tower, having inspected her quarter deck guns, have found them to be in dangerous condition and unfit for use. Six replacement guns are available but they are held by the Commissioners of the Navy and not the Ordnance.
