        A packet of papers labelled “Letters and papers – Royal yacht”.  This includes: Letter dated 10 June 1843 promoting Hall to Commander; appointment to the Royal Yacht, List of Victoria and Albert’s complement, 1843; various letters relating to his leave and appointments and a letter about alterations to the yacht in 1844. The collection also contains an official complaint to the Admiralty regarding the behaviour of a shipwright who insulted him aboard the Royal Yacht in the presence of a group of ladies.
