The book gives an account of the Liverpool and North Wales Steamship Company, formed in 1891 and closed in 1962, which provided excursion sailings from Liverpool to North Wales. It details the history of a number of the vessels but also gives a complete fleet list in chronological order, accompanied by black and white photographs. Vessels include La Marguerite, St Tudno, Bonnie Princess, St Elvies, Snowden, St Elian, St Trillo, St Tudno, and St Seriol. In addition, the book reproduces a selection of coloured postcards and covers of the official guide book: North Wales Coast, Official Guide of the Liverpool & North Wales Steamship Company Ltd.
