The Endurance : Shackleton's legendary Antarctic expedition /Caroline Alexander.

An account of Shackleton's famous Antarctic exhibition aboard The Endurance. The author makes use of previously unpublished photographs of the expedition's photographer Frank Hurley to construct a visually driven narrative of the expedition. She combines the use of the photographs with her own narrative of events, as well as extensive use of the diaries and letters from members of the expedition.
