Spanning the history of the America's Cup from the first challenge in 1870 to the 27th in 1988, this work contains photographs of competing yachts taken by the Beken family of Cowes. The images are organised in three chronological sections: the early years of 1851-1920, the 'J'-Class (1930-1937) and the 12-metre class (1958-1987). A description of each yacht provides information on the design and ownership of each yacht as well as the races in which the yacht competed.
