Cheltenham in Antarctica : the life of Edward Wilson

A biography of Edward Wilson, surgeon, zoologist and artist on the Discovery (1901) and Terra Nova (1910) expeditions with Scott to Antarctica. Wilson died with Scott in the attempt to reach the South Pole in 1912. The text is largely drawn from an unpublished biography written by Wilson's father, published diaries and an earlier three-volume biography written by George Seaver. The text is accompanied by photographs and reproductions of Wilson's sketches and watercolours. Notes are provided for self-guided walks around Cheltenham visiting locations associated with Wilson.
