PCT1703; A general view looking north-north-west up the Centre Branch Dock in Tilbury Docks, taken from near the entrance lock from the tidal basin. On the right, seen bow on to the photographer, is the cargo liner Ebani (1952) and on the left, seen from off her starboard quarter and partially obscured by the tug, is the general cargo ship Dartmoor (1950).

P37274; A port bow view, taken from high above deck level fine off the bow, of the tanker British Genius (1939) in No. 1 graving dock at Falmouth. She has windsails rigged to ventilate the tanks. Two other tankers are alongside the northern breakwater and a Royal Navy frigate is in No. 2 graving dock. Mr Grierson is looking north-north-west across the harbour from Pendennis Rise. Very slightly unsharp.

P37729; A slightly distant port quarter view, taken across the quay wide off the stern, of the general cargo ship Restormel (1944) in Tilbury Docks. She is using dockside cranes to discharge her cargo of timber into lighters that are between her and the quayside. The timber is an assortment of sawn planks and very large logs.

She is lightly laden and has a rope ladder deployed over the side leading down to the stumpy spritsail rigged cargo barge Beatrice Maud (1910). Outboard of the barge is a pair of lighters, each laden with wooden crates with the name Ford stencilled on them.
