Shannon (1881)
A half plate negative? A port broadside view of the passenger/cargo liner Shannon (1881) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has two yards on each mast and has an awning rigged over the bridge area. She is flying the blue peter from the foremast. Tilbury is in the background. The original negative was discarded ca. 1970 and a safety sheet film negative has been made from a 12x10 photographic print produced in the 1950s from the original negative.
