The photographer is looking forward on the starboard side of 1 deck from abreast the torpedo and ammunition loading davit, showing the twin trainable torpedo tubes and the 27 feet motor whaler. The aft superstructure and funnel are on the left. A Royal Navy commander and a lieutenant are on deck near the whaler.
