On board the U.S. Navy stores issue ship Altair (1944) AKS 32 while under way in the Mediterranean during the 6th Fleet exercise Steel Link 1. The photographer is on the starboard side of the superstructure looking aft and slightly to port showing the deck cluttered with stores and a Sikorsky HUS-1 utility helicopter coded 6 is hovering above the helicopter deck ready to carry out a vertical replenishment evolution.
