A starboard quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the U.S. Navy dock landing ship Lindenwald (1943) LSD 6 at anchor in the Mediterranean during the 6th Fleet amphibious exercise Steel Link 1. Her stern door is not fully closed and everything forward of the funnels is out of the picture. The extreme edge of the port quarter is also out of the picture. On deck are the minesweeping launches MSL 9 (1958) and MSL 10 (1958). The photographer is in an LCVP.
