Small rowing boats in the Careenage at Bridgetown, Barbados.
On the south side of Blackwoods Screw Dock in the Careenage at Bridgetown, Barbados, looking north. At the entrance to the screw dock is an harbour police rowing boat with two policemen in it. They are wearing Royal Navy seaman style uniforms with boaters. A large rowing boat is on the floor of the raised dock. a number of other rowing boats are working in the harbour and two 2 masted schooners are berthed against the north wall. The building on the left are the premises of the West India Oil Co. and the Custom House is to the left of centre.
