The dockyard at Gibraltar looking west-north-west from the Botanic Gardens.
The dockyard at Gibraltar looking west-north-west from the Botanic Gardens. The Royal Navy heavy cruiser Suffolk (1926) is at anchor in the basin during her voyage from Portsmouth to the China Station. Beyond the Suffolk alongside the South Mole is the light cruiser Neptune (1933). Both of these ships are seen from ahead of the port beam. Two store ships are also alongside the mole and berthed at the north end of the South Mole is the twin-funnelled fuel hulk Delphinula (1908). The destroyer at anchor on the right is probably the Havock (1936).
