Shipping on the Gota Alv at Gothenburg, Sweden. The photographer is looking north from a rock outcrop high above the river bank showing ships off a shipyard, probably the Lindholmen works. A pair of tankers are on the right with the motor tanker Gustaf E. Reuter (1928), seen from ahead of her port beam, nearest the camera. A Dutch passenger liner, either the Volendam (1922) or the Veendam (1923), is in a floating dock and a cargo ship is in the adjoining floating dock. Two whale factory ships are amongst the other shipping.
