Monaco viewed from high up the side of Mont Agel.
Monaco viewed from high up the slope of Mont Agel. The photographer is looking east-by-south showing the district of Monte Carlo on the left with the domed and twin towered Casino de Monte Carlo on the waterfront. The district of La Condamine and Port Hercule are in the centre and Monaco Rock (Monaco-ville) is on the right. The Prince's Palace and the cathedral on the rock are on the extreme right and the impressive museum building is to the left of them. The densely wooded slope of Mont Agel is in the foreground. At anchor offshore and seen from just ahead of her port beam is the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929).
