On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathalvie (1965) alongside a berth in Liverpool Docks. The photographer is looking forward and down from the port side platform on the Stulcken mast showing two large items of machinery in number two hold. They are fully wedged in with timber and between them is a large timber packing crate. Also in the hold are a number of wooden boxes, some yellow painted fork lift trucks and the ship's own red painted fork lift truck. Bedford TK range lorry chassis are on the quayside next to crane number 6. Transparencies P64837CT to P64839CT were taken on the same occasion.
