        A petty officer and 3 Asian seamen working on mooring ropes wrapped round a bollard on board the British India Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Kenya (1951) in the Royal Docks, London.  This is a posed photograph and the petty officer is wearing a short denim jacket over a woollen roll-neck sweater and has a knife on his belt.  The Asian seamen are in European style clothing but one is wearing a traditional hat.  Negatives PM1866/21 to PM1870/35 were taken on the same day.
