The Red Ensign is flying from the aft superstructure. A grain gantry is on the wharf on the left. The wharf is covered in snow and the water has broken ice on it. This is Slide 18 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Fort Chambly (1977)", about his service as Second Officer on board the Fort Chambly (1961) from Sapele, Nigeria, to Montreal, Canada, 28 November 1977 to 4 January 1978. The lecture consists of 18 slides.
