Lid for spool-shaped box made from H.M.S. 'Shannon'
Lid for spool-shaped wooden box. 3 small circular rings decorate the border of the rim and a metal plaque at the centre of the lid is inscribed: 'A relic of the Shannon frigate, victor of the Chesapeake 1813'. 'Shannon' was broken up in 1859.
