Looking forward on board the motor coaster Sea Avon (1977) while heading north in the Suez Canal during a voyage from Busan, Korea, to Sete, France. The photographer is standing on the port side just forward of the bridge looking forward. Two yellow ventilators are set either side of the mast on the forecastle and the intakes of the ventilators are facing aft. There are two sets of piling frames close to the west bank. An unidentified motor vessel is underway well ahead of the Sea Avon in the background. This is Slide 15 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer on board the motor coaster Sea Avon (1977) owned by Freight Express Seacon Ltd of London from 11 July 1977 to 9 September 1977. The lecture consists of 22 slides.
