Cars being loaded on board the bulk carrier Wilkawa [ex Australian City] (1964) berthed in the Honmoku district of Yokohama, Japan. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of the bridge looking forward and to starboard. One of the ship's cranes is raising a red Nissan Fairlady Z coupe in the foreground. A man is getting out of a Beige coloured Nissan Sunny sedan in the foreground. A white estate car is being attached to one of the ship's cranes in the middle ground. A red Datum pick up truck and a blue flatbed lorry are also in the left middle ground. Numerous cars and trucks are parked on both sides of the quayside in front of dockyard building ready to be loaded on the ship. This is Slide 49 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
