The Royal Naval Exhibition at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, ran from 2 May to 24 October 1891. This is in the Iceberg Pavilion in the central open space of the site. A sign placed on the wall of the pavilion to the left of the entrance reads "The interior of the Iceberg illustrating the Arctic Regions was visited on May 7th by Her Majesty the Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales and members of the Royal Family who expressed their greatest pleasure at the marvellously realistic scene". A copy negative produced by the NMM Studio of a mounted photographic print contained in Photograph Album No. ALB1386.
