The Royal Naval Exhibition at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London in 1891

The Royal Naval Exhibition at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, ran from 2 May to 24 October 1891. This is inside the ordnance section of the St Vincent Gallery and shows a large gun barrel on the left with a smaller gun and mounting ahead of it. A number of different types of shot and shell with their respective storage containers line both sides of the main walkway. A copy negative produced by the NMM Studio of a mounted photographic print contained in Photograph Album No. ALB1386.
