A close view looking down on the starboard side of X gun platform on the stern section of the destroyer Porcupine (1941) laid up in No. 3 Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, berthed on the quay between No. 13 and No. 14 Dry Docks. The stern section is known as Pine and the photographer is standing in the port bridge wing on the bow section, known as Pork, which is berthed inboard of Pine. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P179/43 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
