Collision damage to the car ferry Wootton (1928) in Portsmouth Harbour, Hampshire
On board the car ferry Wootton (1928) looking forward from amidships while berthed alongside the Portsmouth Harbour Station pontoon, showing collision damage to the bulwark and the lifeboat davit. The bulwark has been forced inwards, the davit is bent down and the lifeboat has been knocked out of its chocks onto the deck. A large liferaft has been displaced. Alongside South Railway Jetty in the background is the headquarters ship Bulolo (1938) with the frigate Dacres (1943) alongside her.
