On board the heavy repair ship Ranpura (1924) during her fitting out in Portsmouth Dockyard. In a machine shop with travelling rails at high level on either side. This is probably the Smithery Plate Shop on B Deck. A large plate bending rollers, made by Craig & Donald of Johnstone and numbered 1944, is in the centre. Two furnaces and a large hydraulic machine made by Henry Berrys & Co Ltd of Leeds are on the right.
