A close beam view of the port bow of the frigate Cawsand Bay (1945) taken from the side wall of a dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The ship has been in collision or grounded, the bottom 9 feet of the stem has been pushed back and the keel and bottom plating has been badly damaged for about 30 feet from the bow.
